The Earthquake, What a nightmare!/ By Rawan Mahmasa

Syria is always struggling in this life. Wars, siege, terrorism and shortage of food and supplies.. all of these crimes were nothing compared to the huge earthquake in Aleppo, Lattakia, and Hama.

Moustafa Al-Ibrahim is one of the survivors of the massive earthquake that took place in Syria and Turkey. During the war on Syria, Moustafa was soldier SAA fighting the terrorists and ISIS infiltrators. Moustafa lost his right leg when he was shooting down Al Nusra (al Qaeda) terrorists in Lattakia.

Moustafa used to live in this small apartment (you will see below) in Lattakia. He’s an injured soldier who lives in Al-Rammel neighborhood.

Moustafa says:

“It all started on Monday, 6th February 2023. I was sleeping when I suddenly felt the building is shaking and the building is shaking and the floor is cracking. The voices that I heard are extremely frightening. Our building consists of 6 floors. When I heard the crying of kids and babies, I wanted to run out of the room, but due to my injury. I can’t stand up and walk. I waited for my neighbor to come and pick me up. I crawled a little to save myself and then my friend came up to check up on me. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. All of my neighbors evacuated the neighborhood and we ran to the Masjed (mosque) in Al Rammel. I have nothing left, my house is ruined and I only picked up my phone. It was raining heavily and we got wet. My right leg is hurting me and the bad weather that day played a major role and it made things worse!

I need a place to stay in for the coming days. Syria needs your help. Please, be kind and do some charity.”
